PICTS OF THE WEEK – BURANO ISLAND ITALY: it’s Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 7PM. It’s our last night in Venice and Italy so our vacation is officially over tomorrow. At this very second we are on the island Burano. Burano is a quaint lil water town that satellites Venice. It’s easily the prettiest and most colorful place we have seen thus far. My photos don’t do it justice by any stretch of the imagination. The colors are vibrant and plush like sweet treats to eat. Not landscape breathtaking like Lake Como, Umbria or Tuscany.. Not beautiful and sophisticated like Florence or Rome but it’s definitely the prettiest. It’s pretty like the Willy Wonka candy factory or the Wizard of Oz yellow brick road. The notable thing about this place is that the apartments are all a different color. Many years ago people began painting their homes to distinguish theirs from their neighbors. This allowed the people to see the homes from the sea when they were returning home. At any rate this was a yummy way to end our trip.
